During an on-site interview & examination the examiner will obtain the suggested questions from the investigator, and a brief history of the case only. With this the examiner will have the examinee explain events and case history to obtain the most reliable questions which can answer the investigators questions. The questions are a collaboration of the investigator, the examiner, and the examinee. Utilizing this process of question formulation it is often that the examinee will add or change details of their previous statement to prove their honesty. During this examination process the VSA technology is explained to the examinee as part of the DBR (Defense Barrier Removal), which in itself has elicited partial confessions.
- The Basic Examination includes a meeting with the investigator/requestor to determine the desired results, and suggested questions. It also includes a basic examinee DBR interview for a complete formulation of the examination questions. The examination style utilized for this type examination consist of 2-5 target questions only, one series of charts, a professional analysis results report, as well as a blind verification by another certified examiner.
- The Intermediate Examination includes a meeting with the investigator/requestor to determine the desired results, and suggested questions.
